Just around the corner a New Year 2021 is waiting to make its entrance while many anxiously await the
exit of 2020. As you prepare your heart for 2021 I am sure that the memories of 2020 will not leave our
minds and very often we will Reflect on the happenings and see how we can Resolve some of the ills and
make the future brighter and more hopeful.
For some the reflection will be painful and the grieving process will take a while to comprehend what
really happen with the Covid-19 pandemic. Let yourself grieve the losses bearing in mind that “grieving is
not an event but a process”. In the process you might want to ask your Creator to reveal some the joys to
come— in the same way we are still in the Christmas season and the fact that Christ was born to start the
process of saving us all from the ills of living on earth.
As you face the New Year resolve to receive God’s Love and Grace although when you
reflect on the past year you might be feeling more defeated than inspired. NEVERTHELESS
after a year of recognizing our lack of control I am encouraging you to resolve to embrace positive words
and experiences to comfort you as a way to ring in a New Year.
As this the last day of the year fades with or without the usual List of Resolution may we all resolve to
cling to the truth—that Jesus is our loving Lord who was born this time of year will be with and is always
ready and able to take us through whatever the future brings and beyond. With this in mind remove the
words Fear, Worry and their cousins and embrace Faith, blessings, goodness and their cousins.
BLESSINGS
